First and foremost, the Church of the Open Bible is about Jesus Christ and the good news of His life, death, and resurrection.

We believe this good news with all our hearts and want to share it with others! We also want to respond to what Jesus has done for us by trusting, following, loving, serving, and most of all glorifying Him as God in every area of our lives (1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 1:15-16). This means keeping His great commandment to love God and neighbour (Matthew 22:36-40) and fulfilling His great commission to make disciples of all people everywhere (Matthew 28:18-20).

It also means immersing ourselves in the Bible, which is the very Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17). We want to be a people who abide in the Scriptures because they teach us how to live for Jesus (Jn. 8:31-32) and how to have life in Him (Jn. 20:30-31). But, most of all, we love to open the Bible together because we find that it bears witness about Jesus and points to His promise of eternal life from beginning to end (Jn. 5:24, 39).

And so, if you’re interested in learning more about Jesus Christ from the Bible, come join us for Lord’s Day Worship every Sunday morning or take part in any of our ministries throughout the week as we seek to follow Jesus together with open Bibles in our hands.

“Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved…For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.”

— 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (ESV)

Our Vision

Our desire is to be a people of prayer, serving a living Saviour, with a growing heart for others.
